Kindle Worlds Dissolves Tonight!

Hundreds of books will cease to be tonight when Amazon closes Kindle Worlds, the imprint that promoted fan fiction.
With over 40 worlds to choose from, there was a lot of variety and talent from established authors hoping to network broader into the fan base of more successful authors. Some KW authors were NYTimes Bestselling authors themselves, writing for friends, fine-tuning their pen on another genre.
I wrote ROCK BLUFF for the Lei Crime World by Toby Neal. I loved this book and have plans to rewrite it soon, taking out all characters and locations that belong to Toby.
It will still be called Rocky Bluff and have the same cover, but the story will be different.
I wanted to preserve all my wonderful reviews which will also disappear into obscurity and decided this morning to post them here. Thank you everyone for reading and reviewing. I appreciate your support more than I can say.

Rocky Bluff

A death at the Historic Iao Theater on Maui has detective Lei Texeira going under cover in the cast of The Rocky Horror Show.

Detective Lei Texeira has just moved to Maui from Kauai with boyfriend Michael Stevens when they witness a tragic accident during a performance of The Rocky Horror Show at the local theater. A closer look suggests murder. Stevens is assigned the case but Lei can't keep her nose and her theories out of his investigation especially when she realizes that her new running partner and friend, Kali, might have been the ultimate target.
Lei goes undercover in the bizarre theatrical rendition of a narcissistic transsexual and his band of weirdos, but soon finds herself a target as well.
When Kali's tragic past catches up with her, Lei and Stevens struggle to apprehend a clever killer who stays steps ahead of the police in this game of terror. It isn't until the Iao Theater ghost intervenes and Lei finds herself conspiring with a dead woman that final clues fit together to form a bizarre mosaic of treachery.

Although it's not necessary to read the Lei Crime Series to enjoy Rocky Bluff, Kim highly recommends the Bestselling Police Procedural books by Award-Winning Toby Neal.
Rocky Bluff takes place between TORCH GINGER and BLACK JASMINE and includes a yummy and sugary RECIPE for Malasadas (Portuguese Donuts)
Toby Neal, the USA Today Bestselling Author of the Lei Crime Series calls ROCKY BLUFF "A Twisty, Fun Mystery!"

Kim Hornsby's story kept me on the edge of my seat. I love these
K W books! Gives an interesting twist to Toby Neal's books without
diluting the characters. Can't wait to read more by Ms Hornsby.

Great story... interesting twists, well worthy of being included in the
Lei Crimes Series. In fact I thoroughly enjoyed all of this series, and
will investigate other Kindle series in the future.

This is a great Lei Novella that not only stays true to the series,
it adds a new element to the stories with Kim's addition. I eagerly await the next Bluff!

Rocky Bluff is the first time I have read Kim Hornsby’s work.
Crime fiction is not my genre of choice to read but I was enticed
by the synopsis and gave it a try. I wasn’t sure what to expect but
it didn’t take long to get hooked into the story. Once I started reading it,
I couldn’t put it down and when I did, I couldn’t wait to get back to it.
I read it in two sittings.

This novel is beautifully-written. Hornsby’s writing flows seamlessly

through a fast-paced plot with many twists and turns that kept the
suspense and tension high. Her characters are well-developed--
believable and multidimensional --and her ability to show conflict kept
me fully engaged throughout the story. The surprise ending left me
reeling.

Hornsby delivers in this riveting and suspenseful crime drama which

left me wanting to read more of her work.
