Cooking Turkey for the First Time? EASY/QUICK/YUMMY

4 Hour Perfect Turkey


*Preheat oven to 475 (Yes, you read that right!)

*Stuff your thawed turkey in both ends with dressing and secure cavities (this means surgery with a needle and thread)

*Put turkey in a roaster with 2 inches of water and 5 cloves of garlic (I call this a stinky swim)

*Rub turkey skin with margarine (not butter!)

*Put uncovered pan in oven for 40 minutes, basting with melted margarine every ten minutes (set timer)

*Turn oven to 325, cover turkey pan with foil and bake for 3 hours (20 pound turkey)

This turkey ALWAYS turns out moist and delicious.  Your guests will rave!
